Application
Mix UDK FL 50 GTs2.PR2. DSTU B V.2.7-126:2011
UDK FL 50 floor mix is designed for leveling concrete substrates and floor screeds on a mineral base with subsequent cladding with ceramic coverings, as well as linoleum and similar coverings, inside residential and civil premises. Suitable for machine pouring. The high level of quality, ease of use, and workability of UDK FL 50 mix makes it possible to achieve maximum results when laying self-leveling flooring, with its subsequent long-term use. Can be used as a monolithically bonded floor, a monolithic floor on a separating layer, or a monolithic “floating” floor. Machine application is possible. Can be used for leveling screeds with heating elements (underfloor heating). Recommended layer thickness: 3 mm to 50 mm.
Composition
UDK FL 50 floor mix is made on the basis of a blend of mineral binders, fillers, and functional additives that improve the physical and mechanical properties of the mortar. The mix is resistant to cracking and resistant to moderate mechanical loads.

Application Process
Substrate Preparation
Substrate preparation must comply with the requirements of DSTU-N B A.3.1-23:2013, DSTU-N B V.2.6-212:2016, and SNiP 2.03.13-88. The substrate must be load-bearing and solid, free of dust, dirt, lime, oils, grease, wax, and paint. To create a clean contact layer, remove dust from the substrate using a domestic or industrial vacuum cleaner. Weak layers must be removed; existing cracks must be widened, primed, and filled with UDK FL 50 mix. Highly absorbent surfaces must be treated with a deep-penetrating primer and allowed to cure for at least 4 hours. Low-absorption surfaces must be treated with an acrylic primer and allowed to cure for at least 4 hours. The monolithic floor must be separated from walls and columns with a thin elastic strip (e.g., thin strips of expanded polystyrene).
Mortar Preparation
Add the dry mix to a container of clean water at room temperature in the following proportion: 0.18–0.20 L per 1 kg of mix (4.5–5.0 L per 25 kg bag). Mix with a drill and paddle attachment (manual pouring) or a pressure mixer (machine pouring) until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Allow the mortar to stand for 5 minutes, then mix thoroughly again. For each new batch, monitor the mixing time (approximately 6 minutes) and the mortar consistency. The mortar can be used within 30 minutes of preparation. Use clean containers and tools.
Application
Before starting work, determine the required layer thickness. Pour the mix over the designated area, starting from the farthest corner. The poured mix must be immediately compacted using a spiked roller (the needle length depends on the thickness of the layer being poured). Each room must be poured in a single continuous operation. If the room area is large, divide it into separate sections and pour alternating sections. The gaps are filled after the preceding strips have dried. A piston or screw pump may be used for convenient mortar delivery and faster application. When used in underfloor heating systems, the heating elements must not be activated earlier than 72 hours after pouring UDK FL 50 mix. The drying time of the monolithic floor depends on the layer thickness, temperature, and humidity in the room.
If work is interrupted for more than 25 minutes, tools and equipment must be cleaned of mortar and rinsed with water. Hardened mortar can only be removed mechanically.
After completion of work, all tools must be washed. All applicable standards and regulatory documentation must also be observed during work.
Recommendations
On areas larger than 20 m², expansion joints must be installed. Where expansion joints are present in the substrate, they must be duplicated in the subsequent layer. During application, the temperature of the mortar mix and the substrate must be the same. When used in underfloor heating systems, follow the application guidelines specified by the heating system manufacturer. Activate the heat load gradually, no earlier than 28 days after installation of the underfloor heating. Installation of subsequent layers must be carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the materials’ manufacturers, taking into account the presence of the underfloor heating system where necessary. Use in rooms with high moisture levels (bathrooms, shower rooms, etc.) is only permitted with the installation of additional waterproofing. In addition to the application instructions provided above, all applicable floor installation standards must be followed when working with this material. If the material is used under conditions not covered in this technical description, independent testing must be carried out or the manufacturer should be consulted.
Notes
Excess water causes mortar segregation, increases the setting time of the mix, and reduces the rated strength of the coating.
UDK FL 50 floor mix contains cement, which causes an alkaline reaction during hydration; therefore, eyes and skin must be protected during work. If mortar mix gets into eyes, immediately rinse with running water and consult a doctor.
