Application
Mix UDK TG BASIC Ts.2.ZK1 DSTU B V.2.7‐126:2011
UDK TG BASIC tile adhesive mix is designed for interior cladding of brick, concrete, and plastered surfaces on a cement or cement-lime base with ceramic tiles and other facing materials with water absorption of at least 3% and dimensions not exceeding 400×400 mm. UDK TG BASIC mix can also be used indoors for cladding with porcelain stoneware tiles no larger than 400×400 mm on non-deformable horizontal and vertical substrates subject to low-intensity mechanical loads (in accordance with SNiP 2.03.13-88).
Composition
UDK TG BASIC adhesive mix is made on a cement base with special mineral fillers and polymer additives.

Application Process
Substrate Preparation
Substrate preparation is carried out in accordance with DSTU‐N B A.3.1‐23:2013 and DSTU‐N B V.2.6‐212:2016. The substrate surface must be dry, solid, even, with low and uniform water absorption. Before applying the dry mix, the surface must be cleaned of dust, oil stains, and other substances that reduce adhesion. Aerated concrete surfaces, as well as gypsum and smooth concrete surfaces, must be treated with primer. Primed surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 4 hours before cladding begins.
Mortar Preparation
Preparation of the mortar mix: pour water (water temperature from +15°C to +25°C) into a clean container at a rate of 0.20–0.22 L per 1 kg of dry mix (5.0–5.5 L per 25 kg), gradually add the dry mix and stir with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mortar mix to stand for approximately 5 minutes, then mix again.
Application
Apply the mortar mix in a thin layer to the prepared substrate using a metal spatula or float and spread with a notched trowel. Apply only as much mortar at a time as can be used within 15 minutes. Do not pre-soak the tiles. After applying the mortar, press the tile firmly against the substrate. Tile positioning can be adjusted for approximately 10 minutes after bonding. The maximum thickness of the freshly applied mortar mix under the tile must not exceed 10 mm. The minimum layer thickness must be at least 2 mm. For convenience, joint width between tiles is set using tile spacer crosses. When carrying out cladding work with ceramic tiles, the mortar mix must also be applied to the tile itself in a uniform layer of up to 1 mm, fully covering its back surface. Mortar mix residues must be thoroughly removed before hardening using a damp sponge. Grouting must not begin earlier than 24 hours after tile installation. All applicable standards and regulatory documentation must also be observed during work.
Recommendations
Use of the dry mix is recommended at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and relative air humidity not exceeding 65%. Eye and skin protection must be worn during application. If the mix gets into eyes, immediately rinse with water and consult a doctor.
